Top concerns
Bluetooth can be frustrating to connect because of phone cases or other physical and signal barriers. This isn’t a knock on ListVR, but rather the overall process of image capture in large rooms or from a distance.
What you should know
ListVR is an iPhone app that connects to 360-capable cameras, notably the industry-popular Ricoh Theta (used in our demonstration), to help listing agents rapidly prepare and share panoramic property tours.
Created by a two-person team consisting of a programmer and real estate photographer, ListVR is a sharp, intuitive app that should require little learning curve. Agents will want to test camera placement and be wary of a room’s layout to ensure the listing is presented in its best light, so to speak.
New projects require a few basic details about a property, connecting the Theta via the iPhone’s native Bluetooth and tapping the “capture” button. Each room is labeled and saved after each picture.
Users can also upload panoramic images captured outside of the app and reorder rooms by dragging and dropping before final processing by ListVR.
Final tours can be emailed or texted as a short URL and don’t require the app to view.
Each tour can be navigated by various viewpoints, and each room is accompanied by text descriptions.
ListVR has an update on the way that will include the following pricing model:
One Time Purchase
- $99.99
- 1 Tour Created
- 1 Tour Store
- Active for 6 Months
Monthly subscription cost + $19.99 per property created
- Starter: $14.99/month – 1 tour stored – unlimited tour creation
- Agent: $24.99/month – up to 25 stored – unlimited tour creation
- Team: $44.99/month – up to 75 stored – unlimited tour creation
Annual price models will be going away. The update will include a map-based search of all nearby ListVR tours, and there are plans to integrate social media sharing as well.
The app doesn’t hold users hostage by a tiered feature model, meaning every user gets access to the same capabilities.
Tours produced by ListVR can be combined with the capabilities of an image enhancement services company, such as Inman Innovator finalist BoxBrownie or VHT Studios.
ListVR is an app agents should consider if wanting to enhance how they market properties.
You’ll want to compare it to similar products, such as Ricoh’s own Ricoh Tours, iGuide, HouseLens or REveo, which can live stream or record home tours.
