EXp Realty is acquiring ShowMeNow, an on-demand home tour app that grants prospective buyers immediate access to properties, the company announced Tuesday at its EXPCON conference. The acquisition gives the virtual cloud real estate brokerage a new way to allow its agents to expose even more buyers to properties.
“There is so much potential with the ShowMeNow mobile app, and we are excited about the possibilities for eXp Realty agents and their clients who would benefit from increased access to homes for sale,” Scott Petronis, eXp Realty’s chief product and technology officer said, in a release.
“We will be working through the end of the year to produce a beta with different options to find the right mix of features to help homes sell faster,” Petronis added. “This acquisition continues eXp Realty’s commitment to providing the best innovation and technology for eXp Realty agents.”
ShowMeNow’s new mobile app will exclusively be available to eXp Realty agents – the company’s website seems to have been pulled offline this morning, but the current app is still in the app store. The consumer-facing site is populated with listings of properties that are ready to be viewed and to which access can be granted.
The new app will be available for beta testing in the first quarter of 2019, in select markets, according to the release. Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed, but it’s expected to be finalized in the fourth quarter of 2018.
