Rebecca Jensen began her career in the multiple listing service industry in 1998 with Wasatch Front Regional MLS (WFRMLS), which operates UtahRealEstate.com and whose membership includes about 10,000 Realtors covering more than 90 percent of the Utah market. She became CEO of WFRMLS and UtahRealEstate.com in 2007. Jensen was elected to the board of the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO) in the fall of 2010 and has been the board chair since January 2011. RESO’s goal is to standardize real estate data to make it more accurate, consistent and accessible so that MLSs, vendors and third parties can develop better and faster real estate applications and platforms at lower cost, facilitating software innovation and efficiency in real estate transactions. Under Jensen’s tenure, RESO became a nonprofit organization, developed and adopted a Data Dictionary of common real estate terms, and is in the process of developing an application programming interface (API) expected to be complete at the end of 2013. Jensen has also succeeded in raising RESO’s profile in the industry through the addition of two prominent board members in 2014: Alon Chaver, vice president of industry services at Trulia, and Craig Cheatham, president and CEO of The Realty Alliance.
