A serial entrepreneur, Jeff Turner became president of client surveying service RealSatisfied in 2013. He runs the software and strategy firm Zeek Interactive as president, and he is the founder and president of the real estate marketing software firm RealEstateShows.com. With degrees in psychology from Grace College and Ball State University, Turner says he’s able to look beyond the “how” of social and Internet technologies to get to the “why” that unleashes their power.

Houzz has raised $48.6 million in funding and employs more than 130.

The nine years of hard work that Steele put in to build his real estate blog network paid off big time this year: Vox Media, owner of technology site The Verge, recently scooped up Curbed.com LLC for a mix of stock and cash in a deal that was reportedly worth between $20 million and $30 million. Curbed, like its sister blogs Racked and Eater, has expanded rapidly in recent years, bringing its blend of quick-witted posts on “house porn” and offbeat real estate stories to 17 local markets. Before founding Curbed, Lockhart served as the managing editor of New York-based Gawker Media, where he helped grow the editorial staff from 12 people to more than 150.

One of residential real estate’s most well-known people, Chris Smith co-founded marketing firm Curaytor in 2013. Smith and Curaytor co-founder Jimmy Mackin began hosting #WaterCooler, a weekly, adult-friendly video series where Smith and Mackin discuss trends, topics and services in the real estate industry with other real estate guests. Smith, who moonlights as dotloop’s “chief paper killer,” also co-authored a book with dotloop CEO Austin Allison in 2013. Before setting off on his own with Curaytor, Smith worked as a national speaker for Inman News for a year. He co-founded the agent-focused technology blog Tech Savvy Agent in 2009 and left it two years later when he joined Inman.

Since joining the firm in 2006, Shadbolt has helped The Corcoran Group become one of the most prominent real estate brands in the world of social media, with sizable Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Foursquare followings. He also maintains a prominent voice in real estate via guest articles in real estate publications and as one of three hosts of the real estate-focused podcast Trialogues. Shadbolt is also creative director for interactive design firm Algorithm.

For 11 years, Radice ran Front Range Home Mortgage. Early in her career, she was a radio announcer.

Imran Poladi

Realtor

Poladi is a speaker, writer and real estate personality. In August 2012, he joined the Harcourts USA Corporate Team to help manage the franchise network’s expansion alongside Harcourts CEO Aaron Hodson. Poladi has been a member of the Standard Forms Advisory Committee for the California Association of Realtors (CAR) and is the 2013 vice chairman for CAR’s Young Professionals Network. In October, he was awarded the CAR President’s Award. In 2010, Imran served as chairman of the Stockton Council (a division of the Central Valley Association of Realtors) and was also honored as Realtor of the Year.
