Consumer-focused financial planning software maker Planwise now allows agents to brand the platform with their photo and a call-prompt link to stay front and center with potential clients.

Planwise, one of seven firms selected for the National Association of Realtors’ inaugural tech accelerator program REach, helps consumers plan their finances by visualizing how large purchases and life events can affect their financial life and ability to buy what they want or need, such as a home.

The platform, still in pilot phase, sells branded versions to agents, who can now include their photo, a bio and description of what they specialize in on the financial planning app.

Users who come across Planwise via an agent’s website, blog or a direct link shared by the agent are also greeted by the agent’s photo and description every time they open the app. If they save a plan on the platform, their email address is automatically sent to the agent as a lead, but their financial information remains private to them.

Other updates include automatic reminders to consumers when they log in to update their bank balance in the system if they haven’t done so in 30 or more days and a social media tool that allows users to request currency conversion support for a currency that is not one of the 16 the platform currently is set up for.

On Aug. 1, Planwise launched a pilot with the Berkeley, Calif., office of Better Homes and Gardens Mason McDuffie.

Second Century Ventures, NAR’s strategic investment arm, launched REach last year to introduce no more than a dozen innovative technology companies to the real estate marketplace each year.

Selected companies benefit from exposure and guidance from a group of more than 140 mentors and feedback from about 500 Realtor product testers, NAR said.
