The Connecticut Multiple Listing Service and Clareity Security are partnering to provide an app store that will give CTMLS’ more than 10,000 members access to apps they have purchased from within the MLS.

When the CTMLS Realtor App Store launches on Jan. 29,  CTMLS members will be invited to review and purchase apps, which will then be added to their MLS home screen, giving them one-click access.

Apps available at launch will include Cloud CMA, Agents Armor and Happy Grasshopper. After the launch of the app store, CMLS and Clareity will collaborate to introduce new products and services, the companies said.

“The app store is a big step in the move to help our members access all of the tools they need to run their business effectively from one central location,” Barbara Horvath, CTMLS’ director of MLS services, said in a statement.

Clareity Security launched its online marketplace for real estate apps and services, the Clareity Store, in May, giving MLSs and vendors a new way to market and sell third-party products to real estate agents and brokers.

Last summer, Clareity Security announced a partnership with MLS platform provider Lender Processing Services to offer the Clareity Store to LPS’ 200 MLS and Realtor association customers. Those MLSs and Realtor associations provide services to more than 250,000 subscribers.

MLS software vendor FBS last year launched its Spark Platform, which includes the Spark Store, an app store for real estate software.

The Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO) has published a “Data Dictionary,” a standardized set of data terms aimed at allowing technology vendors to develop “plug and play” tools for use by any MLS that adopts the standards.
