Zillow Group has signed deals with 18 more multiple listing services around the nation to provide listings directly to Zillow and Trulia, marking a leap forward for Zillow Group as it prepares for next month’s expiration of the firm’s agreements with listing syndication platform ListHub.

Real estate franchisors Realogy and Keller Williams have also established direct feeds to keep listings flowing to the sites.

About 174,000 U.S. real estate agents work at brokerages affiliated with Realogy’s franchise brands, which include Century 21, Coldwell Banker, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, ERA and Sotheby’s International Realty.

Keller Williams claims 110,000 sales associates in nearly 700 market centers across the globe.

Realogy spokesman Mark Panus said that under the existing agreements between the companies “we have always had the ability to send our brand listings to Zillow and Trulia via the mechanism of our choosing. This merely reflects the fact that our listings are now being sent directly to Zillow Group rather than via a third party. We continue to use ListHub as a listings distribution mechanism for other sites.”

Keller Williams was in a similar situation. It, too, had used ListHub to send all of its listings to Zillow and Trulia, now it’s sending its listings directly to Zillow Group, Keller Williams spokesman Kevin Priestner told Inman.

“In most markets, the Keller Williams listing feed to Zillow Group will trump all other sources. In some markets, the MLS may trump all broker feeds, including the Keller Williams feed,” Priestner added.

Zillow Group says it struck deals with 18 MLSs announced today in the last week, including one with California Regional MLS, the largest MLS in the country.

“It is imperative that our brokers’ choices in delivering data to the Zillow Group remain intact,” said Art Carter, CEO of CRMLS, in a statement. “CRMLS and the Zillow Group have taken the initiative to ensure that data will continue to be delivered on our subscribers’ behalf.”

The 18 MLSs announced today are:

  • Alaska MLS in Anchorage, Alaska
  • California Regional Multiple Listing Service Inc. in San Dimas, California
  • Golden Isles Association of Realtors in Brunswick, Georgia
  • Greater Lansing Association of Realtors in Greater Lansing, Michigan
  • Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors in Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Gulf Coast MLS in Mobile, Alabama
  • MIBOR Service Corp. in Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Middle Georgia MLS in Macon, Georgia
  • North Central Mississippi Realtors in Oxford, Mississippi
  • North Carolina Mountains MLS in Fletcher, North Carolina
  • Northern New England Real Estate Network in Concord, New Hampshire
  • Northwest Mississippi Association of Realtors in Nesbit, Mississippi
  • Russellville Board of Realtors in Russellville, Arkansas
  • Santa Fe Association of Realtors Inc. in Santa Fe, New Mexico
  • South Central Board of Realtors in Rolla, Missouri
  • Tillamook County MLS in Tillamook, Oregon
  • Western Arizona Realtors Data Exchange in Lake Havasu City, Arizona
  • West Central Association of Realtors in Willmar, Minnesota

Other MLSs that have recently agreed to provide direct feeds to Zillow include Georgia MLS and Northeast Florida MLS. A deal with large Mid-Atlantic MLS Metropolitan Regional Information Systems (MRIS) is in the works, but has not yet been finalized.

ListHub, a subsidiary of realtor.com operator Move Inc. that aggregates and distributes listing data, will stop supplying listings to Zillow on April 7, when the agreement governing the terms of how they are provided expires. Zillow announced in January that it had been unable to come to terms with Move’s parent company, News Corp., over renewing the agreement.

Trulia will also lose its ListHub feed on April 7, under the terms of a settlement announced last week.

Editor’s note: This story has been updated to correct that Zillow Group has not signed a new agreement with Realogy, which says it is exercising existing rights to provide listings to Zillow and Trulia using the method of its choosing.
