If there’s one thing many Americans can agree on when it comes to the 2016 presidential elections, it’s that we could use more options. Whether Donald or Hillary makes you cringe more, a lot of us would like a wider pool of candidates whose names aren’t connected with Whitewater or Trump Tower. So Publisher Brad Inman posed the question to our Facebook group: Who in the real estate industry would you nominate for president of the United States?

So Publisher Brad Inman posed the question to our Facebook group: Who in the real estate industry would you nominate for president of the United States?

Leigh Brown, an Inman contributor and Realtor, received six nominations for the main job and a couple of offers for vice president or secretary of state:

Two people even came up with Brown’s potential campaign slogan.

Brown thought she could give both Trump and Clinton a run for their money — but she wasn’t sure what that might do to her appearance.

Those words gave Brooke Wolford, who nominated herself as a viable candidate, second thoughts:

Still, Brown didn’t rule out the idea, though she said she’d have to pick her running mate wisely.

Barbara Corcoran was another popular pick, receiving several nominations.

Leslie Ebersole also thought Spencer Rascoff would do a good job given his leadership of a company that isn’t “entrenched in the U.S. trade union-based system.”

Zillow Group wasn’t the only portal affiliated with a nominee. Rupert Murdoch, who owns realtor.com’s parent company, Move Inc., through News Corp., was in the running, too.

Ebersole even suggested a joint ticket — Murdoch/Trump. Two moguls for the price of one!

Realistically, though, Murdoch couldn’t take the gig even if he wanted it.
