The sequence to stardom seems to follow this path: write a book, get a TV show or a movie deal.

Top producer Josh Altman is switching it up. The “Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles” star Altman has penned a new book, “It’s Your Move: My Million Dollar Method for Taking Risks with Confidence and Succeeding at Work and Life.” The hardcover and Kindle version are available on Amazon.

IT’S-YOUR-MOVEThe book is a self-help creed for success based on his own travails. Altman is a top-producing agent in Beverly Hills and is ranked as a top 25 Realtor in the country by The Wall Street Journal with a billion dollars in sales.

Altman began his real estate career by flipping homes for profit throughout Los Angeles. He promises to be a “one-stop-shop for buyers and sellers.”

Altman writes about his “Ready, Fire, Aim” philosophy and methods for success that he admits come from both accomplishments and failures. Tales include meeting Tyler Perry at the gym, convincing Perry to sell his home and double-ending the deal, and encountering an NBA player at his local Starbucks and selling him a new home.

Altman is admittedly cocky, though approachable, and seems fearless.

Here is some advice from “It’s Your Move.”

  • Cultivate your own calculated confidence: Decide where you want to go, develop the instincts to get you there, and believe in yourself.
  • Adopt the “Ready, Fire, Aim” philosophy: Identify opportunities, have the confidence to act quickly and learn from your mistakes.
  • Identify yourself as lucky: Move out of your comfort zone to find and seize new opportunities before anyone else notices them.
  • Keep talking: Always tell people what you do — and never stop talking.
