A former South American cable television company owner is trying his hand at high-end developments in Miami Beach.

Familiar with luxury – as he is one of the few who had an IMAX theater installed in his home about three years ago – developer Ahmad Khamsi embarking on a new profession in grand style with Casa Clara.

Casa Clara can be seen as a living showroom for the type of developer Khamsi has set out to be. His mission is to source the most exquisite waterfront properties to create stunning homes of astounding architecture, grand interiors, and exquisite finishes.

This $35.9 million modern mansion was outfitted almost exclusively by the Design District’s Solesdi Showroom. Three of their luxurious Italian brands, Boffi, Henge and Listone Giordano are infusing the neighborhood with master craftsmanship through the Casa Clara project – one of Miami Beach’s top 5 priciest homes. It’s the first property ever to be completely furnished by all three Solesdi brands.

And, the property is located in the Venetian Islands no less.

The Venetian Islands are part of the man-made islands that are the backbone of Miami Beach. Biscayne, San Marco, Di Lido, San Marino, Belle Isle and Rivo Alto islands comprise the Venetian chain. They are joined together by the Venetian Causeway, a private toll road that provides access to Downtown Miami, the Biscayne Corridor and major highways.

Homes on the island chain represent a variety of architectural styles, in both waterfront and dry lot homes. All are targeted to the luxury buyer. The Miami Beach neighborhood closest to the islands features a Fresh Market, fine dining, and an array of chic boutiques. Downtown Miami, Brickell, Wynwood Arts District, Biscayne Corridor and the Design District are all close by.

To fit in with the swanky single-family homes that dominate Miami Beach, no high-end detail was spared.

The 11,500 square foot home features custom Italian wood features inside and out, including doors, floors and exterior features. There are two kitchens, and a four-car “vehicle suite.”The lighting is one-of-a-kind, and entire pocketing walls of sliding glass doors make the transition from indoors to outdoors seemingly invisible.

And, a private mini-beach overlooks the bay and Miami’s skyline.

The stunning home is the first for Khamsi, but is sure to be far from his last.
