The simplicity of the signature and initial tools, ability to seamlessly send completed documents and a scanning feature that allows the addition of new pages to existing documents makes this app worth your due diligence.

  • True document automation needs to be a goal of the real estate industry. Scanners and PDFs do nothing to advance the cause because there is still paper to account for.

MobiDocx is an app for sending, reviewing and signing business documents.

Ideal for: Any agent or team with an effective mobile business enviornment

Top selling points

  • Simplicity of signature, initial tools
  • Easy to send completed documents
  • Scanning, addition of new pages to existing documents

Things to consider

There is an easy text insertion tool for signatures and initials that can be used to add notes on a document during negotiation, but there’s no real workflow in MobiDocx. It’s best for documents close to or at their final stage.

Full review

MobiDocx has an easy document signature feature. Tap the sign icon, scribble in the pop-up window and adjust the size, if needed.

What I like about it is that the user isn’t confined to tapping directly on a blank line to insert a signature. It can be dragged to its appropriate location.

This is an authentic, time-stamped digital signature that even includes a patent-pending process of recording the device ID from which it was executed.

The same process is in place for initialing pages. A stylus can also be used in case you had chicken wings at lunch.

MobiDocx stores documents in the app and thus, on your device. However, the “Upload to Dropbox” feature makes any potential storage issues moot.

MobiDocx has an in-app scanner for turning documents digital and adding new pages to contracts.

1 MOBIMARK DOCUMENTS WHERE TO SIGN OR INITIAL

Images can be inserted along the way — always useful when looking for sign-offs on repairs or home fixes prior to closing.

Any document you are emailed can be saved to MobiDocx for execution, then sent back via your device’s email client.

This is where I begin to worry. Other than the time of the email send and the embedded signature time stamps, there is no formal method of version tracking. This makes MobiDocx more of a document-signing tool than a document-management or automation app.

ADD SIGNATURES AND INITIALS

It’s marketed as a mobile office, but there is no actual vehicle for team interaction other than emailing back and forth for signatures.

In that respect, MobiDocx is really effective and easy to use.

MobiDocx has a patent-pending process for recording device IDs.

There are some productive value-adds, like an alert to any missed signature fields, a simple way to add additional pages, a tap-and-drag to rearrange pages and offline functionality.

You only need to have a connection to email a completed package.

REMOVE:DELETE CERTAIN PAGES

MobiDocx and an iPad or large form factor iPhone would make open-house sign-ins, agency disclosures and representation agreements smart and simple. They require only a few marks and rarely any editing.

If you’re considering a mobile document signing and storage app, MobiDocx is worth your due diligence.
