Since opening its first office in Naples, Florida in May 2013, McQuaid & Company has grown its boutique office in just three years to become one of the top 25 real estate brokerage firms — out of over 550 — in the Southwest Florida market.

Company President Tiffany McQuaid attributes that rapid growth primarily to marketing and branding techniques and relationship building. McQuaid was mentored by Barbara Corcoran, a real estate mogul and TV personality on the hit show Shark Tank, and she believes in paying it forward by mentoring others.

Tiffany will take the stage during Inman Connect New York, January 17-20, for the panel, “Are Online Leads for Suckers?”

We caught up with Tiffany to give us a preview of some of the tips she plans to dispense during the session.

What are some of your top “offline” strategies agents and brokers can use to drive business?

“Be a stand out!” One of the key and best ways to drive traffic to an open house is to create themed open house events.

Whether they are company-wide or individually executed, fun is good for business! People tend to gravitate toward what is different and unique, so you can pull them into an open house in droves with the fun, wow them with your knowledge of the property/area, and most importantly, leave an outstanding impression.

Remember: everyone wants what everyone wants….  And everyone will want you after they see what you do to stand out!

What is one takeaway that those who attend your session will walk away with?

“Creativity is key!” For those who believe that “status quo” is not enough, I will give you some of my tried, true and tested creative ideas to drive traffic to you and your listings! Surefire ways to make you a stand-out and give you that competitive edge in your marketplace.
