After announcing his plans to transform a 300-acre plot of land behind his Calabasas home into a luxury home development, Kanye West has graduated to another idea — an affordable housing complex made of prefabricated concrete and polystyrene components complete with a design aesthetic that mimics the Yeezy fashion brand.
Co-designer and Face Modules founder Jalil Peraza shared renderings of the project on Instagram, which included a photo of an austere kitchen with gold-colored pantry doors that line the back wall and another photo of an outdoor courtyard with a fireplace.
Peraza didn’t offer many details in his Instagram post, but his company Face Modules will be responsible for building the complex. Face Modules is known for building pop-up shops for fashion brands and small spaces for offices, and fitness and design studios.
“All of Face’s founders consider themselves dreamers! As a result, we wanted to develop a product that would empower dreamers with the ability to make their dreams come true,” says Face Modules’ “Story” page. “We designed our module unit with the entrepreneur, the designer, the tastemaker, the developer, the fitness enthusiast and anyone with dreams big enough to need a well designed ‘small’ space.”
“At the forefront of our development was a design small enough to fit in a backyard,” it continues.
According to its site, most projects are completed within seven weeks, which includes material delivery and assembly, and within a few hours of completion, the electricity can be turned on.

The company currently offers one option called “The FACE Module,” which is built with a galvanized steel joint foundation, a Timberwood exterior, a white gypsum interior and anti-theft glass. Buyers can get solar panels for an extra $2,400, bringing the total cost of the module to $21,400.
There’re no details as to when the complexes will open or how much it will cost residents to live in Yeezy Home’s first development.
