1. Go to the office

If your brokerage has a brick-and-mortar office, spend as much time there as you can. Being around other agents who are working hard and hustling will inspire you to do the same.

That hustle will also help you find the people around you who work the same way you do or work the way that you aspire to. Make sure to introduce yourself to anyone you can and attempt to have a meaningful conversation with them.

You’ll know pretty quickly who you click with and who you don’t. The agents within your office are likely to become some of your closest tribe members.

2. Join Facebook groups

Facebook groups are a great way to meet people who think like you and can help you in growing as an agent.

Some regional groups offer meetups and get-togethers for members to hang out and get to know each other within their own marketplace.

While other national groups are great places to see what people in bigger or smaller markets are doing differently. Maybe something that’s working for someone in a small market like yours across the country has an insight into a project you are working on.

Don’t be afraid to ask them for their opinion and offer yours when they ask for help.

3. Talk to everyone

While this is a great way to grow your business in general, talking with everyone in your market is a great way to find your tribe. Talk with mortgage reps, title agents, insurance sales people, basically anyone around you with any type of insight into real estate.

These people will be glad to help you grow and will offer fresh perspectives on what’s working and what isn’t. Your tribe should be varied enough to help you grow and to challenge you, and members of other industries within your market are a great place to start.

4. Join a committee

If you are a part of a local real estate association, rotary club or chamber of commerce there are likely a myriad of committee opportunities for you to get involved. Joining one of these committees will plug you in to what’s going on around you and help you meet others who want to be plugged in as well.

Often members of committees find common ground in their willingness to volunteer, work hard for a common goal and help others in their growth. If this sounds like the type of person you want in your tribe, look no further than a committee near you.

Finding your tribe can be a crucial part of beginning your real estate career. Your tribe will pick you up when you’re feeling down and help you grow to your full potential. Use these tips to find your tribe and build your foundation in the real estate industry.
