Keller Williams’ Jay Papasan shared his enthusiasm for the real estate industry onstage at Inman Connect Las Vegas when he gave a talk on the 10 reasons the real estate industry “can be one of the most amazing careers and business opportunities you can have.”

Keller Williams‘ Jay Papasan shared his enthusiasm for the real estate industry last Wednesday when he gave a talk on the 10 reasons the real estate industry “can be one of the most amazing careers and business opportunities you can have.”

Among them are a low barrier for entry, a limitless financial ceiling, schedule flexibility and a high financial return for the effort that agents put in (versus a salaried position.)

He revealed that 166 individuals at Keller Williams had already made a million dollars in the first six months of this year. That compares to 2002, he noted, when he and his co-authors of The Millionaire Real Estate Agent struggled to find agents making a million dollars a year. They found just 27.

These days, some agents at Keller Williams have been making a million dollars a month. Furthermore, 600 agents are on track to make a million dollars this year, he said.

“So even if our margins are being squeezed, even if we look up and say, technology is maybe changing things, the opportunity to own a bigger business, the opportunity to have a bigger impact every single year, that bar goes up, and every single year, I get surprised,” he said.

Watch the video for more inspiration on why Papasan is so jazzed about real estate as a career and a business and why your agents should be too.
