• You can hold down a job and a real estate business. It requires being disciplined and having a plan.
  • Call reluctance goes away when you have the mindset of service.
  • Contact your COI/PC directly instead of hiding behind digital communication, and you can "train" people to look for business for you.

18a0f9e5-9097-4dea-b412-a92ef8258cb8Think you have a lot on your plate? How about going to college full time and selling real estate? Jacksonville agent Luis Perez  did just that.

Originally on course to go into medicine (a family tradition), when the scholarships ran out, Perez needed to find a way to complete his degree without the burden of debt.

Realizing that sales was the fastest way to do that, at his dad’s suggestion, he looked into real estate. He immediately fell in love with the opportunity, got his license and quickly learned a few things.

First, time was a precious commodity. With his determined spirit and passion for the income potential, he learned how to set daily minimum standards and manage his time. He blocked his days so that the prospecting that was done in the morning resulted in afternoon appointments and left other times available for classes and homework.

In 2015, Perez sold 43 homes while attending college full time. We hear all the time from our listeners that they aren’t sure what to do; they need the steady income of their current job, but want to pursue real estate or take their current business to a higher level.

Perez’s story proves that you can do it. For a short time, Perez was willing to do what many people aren’t — be disciplined. And now it’s paid off in a major way.

Listen to our interview with Perez today to be inspired and hear the key things he does that have made him a rising star in the Jacksonville real estate market!
