Competition in the real estate industry is stiff. It requires marketing strategies that are high-quality and unique. The spring season presents the perfect time for real estate agents to reach more prospective clients.

Here are a few pre-spring season social media contest ideas for real estate agents.

1. Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat comment giveaways

These are a great way to engage social media followers. Take a photo of a real estate property, and invite comments from the followers.

Promise giveaways to the person who makes the 10th comment. If you do this periodically, like after every hour during the pre-spring season, you will see the number of people who engage in your real estate social media page increasing.

If you share the contents across the board, you are likely to see the number of followers and friends increase.

2. Ask your friends and followers to post real estate property photos

Engaging social media users goes beyond following and replying to their posts or comments. Asking them to post pictures of real estate properties and encouraging their friends to vote for them will not only attract more engagements but also attract more real estate clients to your page.

Reward the photo that attracts the most views with a prize.

Doing this will encourage people to talk about your page as well as invite others to participate in the contest.

3. Award likes, shares and retweets

Apart from rewarding photos that attract more views, you can also award posts that will attract more shares, likes and retweets.

Remember: shares, likes and retweets mean that your post is getting more attention. It means friends, or followers of your followers and friends, are getting the message and spreading it within their circles.

4. Question, and answer

You may have educated your friends and followers on the products and services you offer.

Valentine’s Day presents a perfect time for you to test their knowledge of your company. In doing this, you will challenge them and reward their efforts handsomely with gifts.

Run these sessions regularly, perhaps every six hours or on a daily basis. Announce the winners regularly, and entice more people to participate.

You will not only be encouraging your followers and friends to learn more about the company, but you will also be increasing the number of people who follow you.

5. Showcase your inventory and buyer needs

Why not put your clients to work for you and help them in return?

Showcasing your coming soon inventory and running a poll or game around the photo is a fun way to engage people.

Run an ad, and offer a giveaway if anyone can correctly guess the specific neighborhood where your listing is located.

Take a listing photo, and get people’s opinion on whether the kitchen looks better X way or Y way.

On the buyer side, let your followers know that you have a specific buyer need and offer a gift to anyone who can help you identify a friend who may be interested in selling.

The pre-spring real estate season presents the perfect opportunity for a real estate business to engage social media users. During winter months, people have time to spare and will most likely be on social media.

Catch their attention by engaging them with contests that will encourage them to learn more about your business.

A quick tip: Remember the goal is to stop the scroll, so make your posts fun with emojis and lots of attention-grabbing photos.
