Localize.city, a startup that uses artificial intelligence to aggregate neighborhood information for every address in New York City, is partnering with five real estate companies in the Big Apple, Inman has learned.

Nestio, RealtyMX, LG Fairmont, Oxford Property Group and Igluu will incorporate Localize.city’s neighborhood information into their own websites and promote it to their base of real estate clients, founder Steven Kalifowitz told Inman Monday.

Up until now, real estate technology was reserved for developers and even then there was a lot missing,” Kalifowitz told Inman. “We see it as a big shift because … now real estate brokers in New York City are actively telling their customers to use [Localize.city] to help them make decisions and get a clearer view of every property in New York City.”

The startup, which has raised $11 million in funding since its launch in 2016, provides bullet-point information on schools, construction, weather conditions and other neighborhood amenities for a specific address.

By simply searching an address in New York’s five boroughs users receive a summary of the most relevant information in the area, including road conditions, school information and other nearby attractions.

RealtyMX, a management system for brokers and agents, will feature Localize.city’s search engine on its website and allow agents to share it on their own sites. To gather the information, Kalifowitz gathered a team of data scientists, urban planners and cartographers to put together neighborhood facts that are then customized through artificial intelligence.

As the real estate industry continues its efforts to embrace the latest technologies, Kalifowitz believes his platform can present buyers with property information “in a language you can understand.”

Brokerages LG Fairmont and Oxford Property Group are also adding Localize.city to their platforms and sites. The idea, said LG Fairmont agent Judah Fried, is to give buyers a more complete picture of what they are looking at.

“Localize.city’s insights are a game-changer in making transactions more transparent,” Fried said. “My goal is to eliminate buyer’s remorse, and partnering with Localize.city to leverage their cutting-edge AI is helping us to exceed our clients’ expectations.”

Nestio, a management startup for landlords and brokers, and workspace startup Igluu are also partnering with Localize.city as it grows and considers expansion into other cities.

“We’ve always embraced technology that delivers great customer experiences,” said Oxford Property Group President and CEO Adam Mahfouda in a statement. “Integrating Localize.city’s easy-to-understand insights to our website was an obvious opportunity to further enhance the superior customer experience we offer.”
