HomeKeepr now brings the database of recommended home services professionals directly to an agent’s website through a search widget.

HomeKeepr, a marketplace app that lets real estate agents refer homeowners to everyone from a plumber to a carpenter, just launched a widget for finding service people on agents’ websites.

Since launching in 2014, HomeKeepr has quickly established itself as a way for buyers, sellers and agents to manage the upkeep and repairs of a property.

The stand-alone mobile app already offers an online journal to keep track of a property’s features and appliances, as well as a database of home services professionals that an agent typically works with or recommends.

But while users were previously required to download the HomeKeepr app on their devices, this new tool brings HomeKeepr’s database of recommended professionals straight to an agent’s site.

The search widget is particularly helpful for those looking to do work on a property — whenever homeowners visit an agent’s website, they will also be able to search for builders and other nearby home services professionals recommended by the agent.

“With this new tool each homeowner, prospective homebuyer or homeseller [gets] a completely different set of search results due to the hyper-local nature of the database,” David Weinstein, co-founder of HomeKeepr, said in a statement. “Every time a homeowner uses this widget to find a trusted home service pro the agent further establishes themselves as a community hero and top local expert.”

The new widget is free for all real estate agents who want to install it on their site. There is also a paid subscription version that allows agents to speak to clients directly, create branded applications and access HomeKeepr’s blog content that starts at $19.99 a month.

The idea, according to co-founder Rob Morelli, is to turn an agent’s site into a one-stop destination for services they need to move into their dream home. By partnering with companies like Keller Williams, eXp Realty and zipLogix, HomeKeepr grew to include more than 125,000 Realtors and 350,000 local home services professionals.

“HomeKeepr develops lasting relationships between real estate agents and their local community,” Morelli said. “We do this by providing easy-to-use and convenient technology tools for the agents.”
